Yam Hotel

Tel Aviv - Israel

Summary

‘Yam’ is the Hebrew word for 'sea', and this funky boutique hotel has a beachy vibe that reflects its superb location, just steps from the seafront.

The interiors are bright and sunny, blending surfer chic with clean and contemporary design, and the friendly staff will make you feel completely at home from the moment you arrive.

Laid back Tel Aviv is Israel’s LGBT capital, and the Yam Hotel is situated in one of the city’s best neighbourhoods for nightlife. You’re also a short walk from the beach, where Tel Aviv’s beautiful people congregate on the sunny shores of the Mediterranean.

Nearby Attractions

The Yam Hotel enjoys a great location in the trendy Namal district next to Tel Aviv’s port, where flashy yachts bob in the harbour. A lovely wooden boardwalk runs along the seafront, and the area is full of buzzing bars, restaurants and designer boutiques.

Nearby sunbathing spots include the family-friendly Metzitzim Beach and Hilton Beach, which is popular with the LGBT crowd. You’re also right next to Yarkon Park, a popular green space named after the river which flows through it.

The atmospheric old streets of Jaffa are a 15-minute drive away, and well worth exploring for an insight into the history of this ancient port. Other attractions in the city centre include the lively Carmel Market and the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, which has an impressive collection of impressionist and post-impressionist pieces.

Description

Vibrant seaside colours light up the hotel’s 42 compact rooms, with fun little touches like a beachball amongst your pillows. All rooms have a flatscreen TV, WiFi, mini bar, safe and tea/coffee making facilities, and most also have a private balcony.

If you’re heading to the beach then you can grab a free towel, water and fruit on your way out, and the hotel also has bicycles available to hire.

A generous buffet breakfast is served in the morning, which you can enjoy indoors or outside in the garden area, and there is also a ‘happy hour’ every afternoon with free drinks and snacks available.
