Sukhothai Bangkok hotel entrance at night

The Sukhothai

Bangkok - Thailand

Summary

Inspired by the ancient Siamese capital of Sukhothai, this gorgeous hotel is an oasis of tranquility in the heart of the bustling modern city.

The teakwood furnishings, vibrant Thai fabrics and serene lotus ponds give The Sukhothai an authenticity and character that Bangkok’s more corporate hotels lack, and the discreet, personalised service makes all visitors feel welcome.

Luxurious accommodation, three excellent restaurants and a blissful spa mean this is a fantastic choice for a short stay or an extended city break, and the location is perfect for exploring the cultural treasures and legendary nightlife of the Thai capital.

The Original Sukhothai

Sukhothai was the capital of an ancient Thai empire, and the city’s golden age lasted from the mid-13th century to the late 14th century. The fascinating ruins, about 250 miles north of Bangkok, are now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the design of The Sukhothai hotel is inspired by the chedis and pagodas of the ancient city. The word Sukhothai means ‘rising of happiness’, a feeling that you’re sure to experience during your stay at the hotel.
