The QT’s location in the centre of town means you’re within easy reach of Sydney’s most famous sights. The green spaces of Hyde Park and the Royal Botanic Gardens are a few streets to the east, while the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge are about half an hour’s walk away.
Nearby cultural attractions include the excellent Art Gallery of New South Wales, and the hotel is part of the same 1920s Art Deco building that houses the State Theatre.
There are also plenty of opportunities for shopping in the local area, including the Westfield mall and the handsome Queen Victoria Building, which dates back to the late 19th century.
The QT Sydney has 200 rooms and suites blending quirky design flourishes with contemporary luxury. In-room amenities include free WiFi, HD TV, iPod dock, walk-in shower, mini bar and Malin+Goetz bathroom products. Most suites also have an oversized soaking tub, and the luxurious QT State Suites have a private balcony.
You can unwind after a busy day of exploring at the indulgent spaQ, and gents can make sure they look the part with a trip to the vintage barber’s shop. There’s also a designer boutique if you need some threads or the hotel furnishings take your fancy.
Party till late at the Gilt Lounge, a stylish cocktail bar, and perk yourself up the next morning with coffee from the Parlour Lane Roaster café. Perhaps the hotel’s most unique feature is the lift, which can detect how many people it’s carrying and change the music accordingly - party tunes for large groups, love songs for couples!
