The MGM Grand is situated near the southern end of the Strip, guarded by a 45-foot-tall bronze lion. Opposite the hotel you’ll find New York New York and its famous roller coaster, and the fairytale towers of Excalibur are just next door.
Vegas can be overwhelming to the first time visitor, with so many shows, attractions, casinos and bars all vying for your attention. The city’s monorail stops at the rear of the hotel, and links the MGM Grand to casino complexes including Paris, Harrah’s and Caesar’s Palace, home to an excellent Nobu restaurant.
If the constant sound of slot machines starts to grate then head to the buzzing bars of Downtown, or escape the city altogether with a trip into the desert to see the awesome Grand Canyon.
With over 5,000 rooms and suites you are somewhat spoilt for choice. Décor is stylish and contemporary, and all rooms have a flatscreen TV, WiFi, safe and mini bar. The Signature Suites are situated in a separate non-smoking, non-gaming area of the hotel, while The Mansion consists of 29 private villas and the exclusive Skylofts include a kitchen, high end entertainment system and butler service.

Designed by architect Tony Chi, these stylish two-storey loft-style residences enjoy stunning views of the Vegas skyline and include a Bang & Olufsen sound system, 24-hour butler service, full-size kitchen, priority seating at the hotel restaurants and a dedicated concierge that can organise tours, show tickets and restaurant reservations. Some lofts also have a private fitness centre and an outdoor terrace with a private plunge pool.
How to get here...
There are a number of airlines offering direct services from the UK to Las Vegas, including British Airways and Virgin from London, and Thomas Cook Airlines from Manchester. Flying time is approx. 10 hours.
The journey time from Las Vegas airport to most hotels along the 'Strip' is relatively short, around 15-20 minutes depending upon traffic.
