Lindian Village

Rhodes - Greece

Summary

Lindian Village offers the tranquility and exclusivity of a boutique beach hotel, combined with the facilities and expansive grounds of a larger resort.

As you would expect from the name, there is a real village feel, with whitewashed bungalow-style accommodation, a sociable central square and even a little Greek chapel. Things never feel crowded, and the peaceful location means this is a great choice for a real ‘get away from it all’ holiday.

The resort is popular with families thanks to the excellent facilities and varied dining, but there is also a range of more secluded accommodation to suit couples, including indulgent private pool suites. The friendly staff play a huge part in making this such a lovely place to stay, extending a warm welcome to all guests.

Nearby Attractions

Lindian Village is situated on a private stretch of Lardos Beach on the southeast coast of Rhodes, in a quieter part of the island.

The pretty town of Lindos, with its whitewashed houses and spectacular Acropolis, is about a 20-minute drive away, or there’s a boat that makes the return trip daily from the beach at Lindian Village.

The relatively isolated location is one of the major attractions, and you’ll probably need to hire a car if you want to really explore the island. Rhodes Town, with its attractive medieval old town and lively bars, is about an hour’s drive away.

Description

Lindian Village is comprised of 146 rooms and suites, housed in bright white sugarcube-style buildings that echo the architecture of nearby Lindos. All rooms have a private balcony, satellite TV, internet access, mini bar, coffee machine and safe. The more spacious suites also have an outdoor Jacuzzi or private pool.

Resort facilities include a large freshwater pool next to the private beach, plus a gym, spa, tennis court and watersports centre. Make a splash with aquatic activities including windsurfing, sailing, waterskiing and snorkelling, learn some new recipes with a Greek cookery class, or pack the little ones off to the kids’ club and enjoy a leisurely wine tasting.

There is a huge amount of choice when it comes to dining, with five different restaurants ranging from gourmet Greek cuisine to fiery Thai curries. There are also several spots to quench your thirst, including the taverna-style Pebble pool bar and buzzing La Piazza on the resort’s main square, where you can enjoy low key live music in the evening.
