Boston - USA

Summary

Base yourself in the beating heart of Beantown at this cool and quirky hotel, situated just steps from Boston Common and the historic Freedom Trail.

Kimpton Nine Zero is a great choice for those who love design-focused city hotels, and the Kimpton group are renowned for their exceptionally LGBT-friendly ethos. Other cool features include complimentary bike hire, a yoga mat in your room and a nightly hosted wine reception.

All the rooms are gorgeous, but it’s the suites that really steal the show with their fabulous skyline views. The hotel also has a funky retro-chic cocktail bar, and some of the friendliest staff in the business.

Nearby Attractions

The Freedom Trail connects 16 of Boston’s most important historical sights, tracing the key events in the USA’s struggle for independence, and it runs right past the Kimpton Nine Zero. The hotel is just steps from Beacon Hill and leafy Boston Common, the nation’s first ever public park.

It’s about a 15-minute walk to the waterfront, where you’ll find upmarket shopping and the New England Aquarium. Other nearby attractions include the Boston Opera House, Faneuil Hall Marketplace and the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum.

Boston has a healthy LGBT scene, and popular areas include South End, a 35-minute walk from the hotel, and Jamaica Plain, a 30-minute drive away. There are also several popular bars and clubs in the downtown area south of Boston Common.

Description

Kimpton Nine Zero’s 190 rooms and suites are fresh and contemporary, with crisp linens, warm colours and the occasional dash of eccentricity. In your room you’ll find a flatscreen TV, WiFi, iPod dock, yoga mat, mini bar and safe, and the plush Skyline Suites have the best views of the city.

Facilities include a gym and Kimpton’s signature complimentary cycle hire, plus in-room spa services including massages and rejuvenating wraps.

There is no restaurant per se, but the buzzing Highball Lounge cocktail bar offers a tempting menu of light bites, snacks and burgers, as well as a selection of retro board games and fresh tunes from the resident DJs. There’s also a hosted wine hour every evening at 5 o’clock.

The Freedom Trail

The Freedom Trail is a 2½ mile walking route through the centre of Boston, providing the perfect introduction to the rich history of the city and its role in the American War of Independence. Key sights on the trail include Boston Common, the magnificent Massachusetts State House and the Bunker Hill Monument, which marks the spot of the first major battle of the Revolutionary War in 1775. To ensure you get the most out of the trail we would recommend booking a guided walking tour.
