The unique farmhouse chic of Carneros Resort and Spa reflects the agricultural heritage of California’s wine country, and it’s the perfect base for exploring the Napa Valley.
Wooden porches, rocking chairs and corrugated metal roofs give the cottages a rustic look, but the interiors are stylish and contemporary, with an emphasis on sustainable design. Days here are pretty chilled: drink in the views from the hilltop infinity pool, dine on the freshest of farm-to-table cuisine, or luxuriate in the soothing spa.
Just an hour north of San Francisco, the bucolic location is perfect for long country walks, boozy picnics and more active pursuits such as horse riding or cycling. With a warm Californian welcome extended to each and every guest, it’s also a top choice for LGBT travellers.
Includes return economy flights. Two people sharing a room for 3 nights, departing in December 2018. Contact us for your specific requirements. From price for guidance only, all subject to availability.

The Napa Valley is wine country, and it would be a shame to come here without visiting a vineyard or two. The resort concierge will be more than happy to recommend nearby wineries and arrange some tastings.
The town of Napa itself is a 15-minute drive from the resort, and has plenty of excellent restaurants, while Yountville and Sonoma are both about 20 minutes away. There are several galleries in the area, such as the Di Rosa Preserve, a private collection of thousands of pieces by local artists.
Natural wonders nearby include the Old Faithful Geyser at Calistoga and the 3-million-year-old Petrified Forest. You can also explore the Napa Valley by bike, on horseback or in a hot air balloon.
Rustic chic is the watchword for the 86 cottages, suites and private homes, blending mid-century furnishings with cowhide rugs and corrugated metal. Inside your cottage you’ll find a flatscreen TV, WiFi, Nespresso machine and a walk-in shower, while outside you can relax in a rocking chair or enjoy an outdoor shower in your private garden. The Harvest Cottages have a fire pit and outdoor soaking tub, while the suites and private homes offer more space for families and groups.
There are two gorgeous infinity pools: one for adults only up on the hilltop, complete with hot tub, and one in the separate family area, which also includes a kids’ pool, hot tub and snack bar. Other facilities include a lovely spa, bicycle hire and a large gym, with complimentary fitness classes at weekends.
The Town Square is the resort’s social hub, where you’ll find bocce ball courts, the COOP boutique and Market, a general store where you can grab gourmet picnic ingredients and a bottle of wine. The FARM restaurant offers fine dining with a choice of indoor or outdoor seating, and the Boon Fly Café is a roadhouse-style joint serving more rustic fare. The Hilltop Dining Room is open for breakfast and lunch, with superb panoramic views.
