Nearby Attractions

It’s a 15-minute drive to southern Pattaya’s famous Walking Street, a pedestrianised strip that comes alive with flashing neon and pumping music every night. The city’s vibrant LGBT scene is centred around the nearby areas of Boyztown and Sunee Plaza.

There’s more to the city than gogo bars and nightclubs, however, with cultural attractions including the impressive Wat Phra Khao Yao temple and the Sanctuary of Truth, a remarkable construction showcasing traditional woodworking techniques.

The Four Regions Floating Market is great for souvenir shopping, with stalls selling clothing and local handicrafts, and there are several water parks dotted around Pattaya offering plenty of fun.

The Sphere Lounge

The Thai word ‘dara’ means ‘star’, and Cape Dara’s most unique bar is the space-themed Sphere Lounge. The futuristic décor sets the scene for cocktails with names like ‘Interstellar’ and ‘Berry Comet’, and the mixologists make use of liquid nitrogen to create spectacular steaming concoctions that look like they’ve just been cooked up in a laboratory.
