Las Vegas - USA

The Bellagio is one of the most iconic hotels in Las Vegas, an Italian-inspired masterpiece where crowds gather every day to marvel at the world famous dancing fountains.

Behind the imposing facade you’ll find an incredible array of facilities, including fine dining restaurants, designer boutiques, beautiful botanical gardens and entertainment from the legendary Cirque du Soleil. The recently refurbished accommodation blends contemporary style with a classical elegance, and many of the rooms have fabulous views of the fountains.

The central location puts you in the heart of the action, perfect for those who want to sample the legendary Las Vegas nightlife, rub shoulders with the beautiful people at the city’s hottest pool parties, or simply watch on in disbelief as high stakes gamblers bet everything on red or black.

Nearby Attractions

The Bellagio is at the centre of the Strip, set back from the street behind the 8-acre lake and the famous dancing fountains.

Paris and Bally’s are just across the road, and casinos including Caesar’s Palace, The Venetian and the Flamingo are all within easy walking distance. It’s about 15 minutes’ drive to Downtown Las Vegas, where you’ll find the famous neon cowboy and a host of great restaurants and bars.

It’s well worth escaping the casinos for a day and exploring beyond the city limits. Las Vegas is surrounded by spectacular desert scenery, including Zion National Park, Death Valley and the Grand Canyon.

The Bellagio’s 3,933 rooms and suites look better than ever after a four-year, $165 million facelift. The décor is opulent yet contemporary, and all rooms are equipped with a flatscreen HDTV, WiFi, iPod dock, mini bar and safe. Higher suite categories enjoy the extra benefits of the Chairman’s Lounge, including private check-in, concierge services and daily refreshments.

The hotel’s extensive facilities include five outdoor swimming pools, four whirlpools, a fitness centre, salon, beautiful botanical gardens, casino and a 55,000-square-foot spa. The popular “O” by Cirque du Soleil is a water-based spectacular involving acrobats, divers and synchronised swimmers, and is not to be missed. There’s also a shopping arcade showcasing luxury brands such as Hermès and Guerlain, plus an art gallery and access to the nearby Shadow Creek golf course.

Dining at the Bellagio is a real treat, with 13 restaurants to choose from. Highlights include the French fine dining of Le Cirque, contemporary Italian cuisine at Lago by Juliano Serrano, and the Spanish-influenced Picasso, where original artworks by Pablo himself hang on the wall. There are also several nightclubs, lounges and bars to see you through to the small hours, including the stylish Hyde overlooking the fountains.

The Fountains of Bellagio

The Bellagio is a bona fide Las Vegas landmark, and the hotel’s famous fountains have been drawing the crowds for nearly 20 years. The fountains ‘dance’ every half hour during the day, and every 15 minutes in the evening, carefully choreographed to tracks such as ‘Viva Las Vegas’, ‘Luck Be a Lady’ and ‘My Heart Will Go On’. The fountains cost an estimated $40 million to build, and were the largest in the world until they were surpassed by a new fountain in Dubai (where else!) in 2010.
