LGBT Buenos Aires
Buenos Aires is one of the world’s most exciting LGBT-friendly cities, with a well-established scene and an open-minded, cosmopolitan outlook. The city is home to South America’s biggest gay pride parade, and you’ll find hotels, bars and even tango halls that are specifically oriented towards the LGBT market.
Argentina is a vast country that spans a huge variety of landscapes, from the arid desert north to the icy peaks and glaciers of Patagonia. The most spectacular natural wonder of all is surely Iguazú Falls, a thundering torrent of water that cascades into a deep gorge on the border between Argentina and Brazil. You can’t really comprehend the scale of the falls until you’re there, and it’s a true bucket list experience.
Argentina produces some truly world class wines, and a trip to the Mendoza wine region is an absolute must. Mendoza is best known for its malbecs, but you’ll also be able to sample cabernet sauvignon, merlot, sauvignon blanc and plenty more besides. Even if you’re not much of a wine drinker it’s still worth visiting for the spectacular Andean scenery and fantastic food.
